05:12 am. Hey fam. The weather man said the other day we should expect a tornado on this side of the world. Me, who clearly just hears that word on tv has never experienced this type of rain. Weeeeeh hapa lightning na thunder is nothing compared to what we experience back home. Mungu anatupiga ma-xray hapa na maCT scan tu kiroho safi. Maze hizo marurume zinachapa deadly. As you pray this Easter period, pray for the rains. Pray for peace. Pray for love. Pray for great health which is the greatest blessing. Pray that the Lord will rise in our hearts again. Happy Easter and may you all be blessed. Njambi has revealed that endometriosis, which ravaged her body for 19 years has created a shell out of her.
‘Endometriosis ravaged my body for 19 years and I’ve undergone 16 surgeries’ Njambi Koikai begs Governor Joho for help
Kokai said she no longer wears tight clothes. They don’t fit anymore. In part she wrote;
I love fashion. Passed down to me by grandmothers and mother. Unfortunately, this disease has created a shell out of me. A once very stylish, fashionable, creative lady now only fits into loose trousers, t-shirt, sweatshirt, and jacket.
Njambi Koikai also said she longer wears bras because of the scars on the right side of her body.
I don’t wear bras due to the pain and scars in my right breast, lung, diaphragm and ribs. I don’t wear heels due to the swelling of my feet. Just one pair of sneakers gifted to me by @edwardkemboiNo tight clothing due to the scars on my tummy. I used to enjoy shopping with my sis at Toi and Ungwaro market, trying out clothes, raiding my grandmother’s wardrobe and mom’s stuff.
‘If I don’t take my medication, I’ll struggle during my period,’ Janet Mbugua speaks
The hopeful survivor added;
It’s just a matter of time, I’ll get back on it.
I can still rock hats though…found this hat at one of the stores at therapy, tried it on and took a pic. Funky much.
‘It always felt, and still feels like a punishment,’ Endometriosis warrior Elsie Wandera narrates
Njambi is still undergoing treatment in Atlanta, USA and is calling upon well-wishers to help her raise money to settle her hospital bill.
