Belly fat is one of the hardest things to lose when one is on a weight loss. In fact, I confidently say it is the hardest.
Some of our celebs have been on serious weight loss journeys like Willis Raburu and Anerlisa Muigai. They have both shared their inspirational journey’s on their individual Instagram pages.
Before we go further into the article, one must understand that the most important part of losing weight is one’s diet.
You can’t expect to see the results you want while not changing your diet. Some even say that diet accounts for about 60-80% of weight loss.
Below are some excellent exercises to lose belly fat with:
This is one of the most popular ways to reduce belly fat.
It is done by lying face up on the floor with knees bent and feet planted on the ground. The movement begins by curling the shoulders towards the pelvis.
The hands can be behind or beside the neck or crossed over the chest. Injury can be caused by pushing against the head or neck with hands.
Variations to the exercise can be the twist crunches, side crunches, and reverse crunches, vertical leg crunches.
The Stomach Vacuum
This exercise is reputed to deliver the results very quickly. The exercise is done by standing upright and placing your hands on your hips, then exhaling all the air out of your lungs, completely. Expand your chest, and bring your stomach in as much as possible, and hold.
Visualize trying to touch your navel to your backbone. One isometric contraction of “X” seconds is one repetition.
Once mastered, the Stomach Vacuum can be performed in a standing, kneeling, seated, and lying position. Now you will have no excuse to avoid abdominal training if you are stuck in traffic.
This is an easy way to lose that belly fat and without straining muscles that might have been affected by an injury. Swimming consistently exercises the core muscles and enables your abs to aid in overall stability and body control.
Core muscles like abs, hips, and lower back are completely engaged when you’re swimming. Not only do these muscles help you balance and stay on the water’s surface, but when kicking, they have chief control over your speed and agility through the water.
