Religion is a personal choice.
People turn into religion mainly because they need some little hope because the Holy books always tell us that with God all is possible and I mean as human beings we need a lot.
Over the recent years, a lot of pastors have been caught doing some outlandish things in the name of healing or giving the congregation some form of hope. Most of the’miracles’ always involve money.
Our very own, Pastor Kanyari was exposed after he asked his congregation to send him Ksh310 for a miracle. The country was up in arms against such actions but Kanyari still has a congregation despite the expose’.
It is sad that pastors take advantage of someone who is just looking for some little hope, someone who has placed all their faith in a proxy to help them stay saved.
Recently, a poster in South Africa made his congregation drink jik in the name of faith. Controversial pastor Prophet Rufus Phala of AK Spiritual Christian Church, Makgodu, Limpopo is not new to controversies.

A lot of stories have been recorded of pastors who have taken acts of faith to another level.

Here are some of the weirdest things pastors have asked their congregation to do all in the name of faith.
- Most recent one is where Prophet Rufus Phala asked his congregation to take jik.
- Sobrino Valdeci Picanto, an evangelical pastor from Brazil, persuaded his female followers to perform sexual acts on him. Claiming his semen is holy milk.
- Pastor Paseka Motsoeneng popularly known as Prophet Mboro told his congregation to wave their underwears high and hold their private parts so that angels can impregnate and bless them.
- Pastor Edisai Mensah once told his South African congregation to engage in an orgy. He claimed that self-pleasure would earn them eternal life and free them from diseases.
Will such pastors and their sheep see the gates of heaven?
