Watu hutoka mbali.
This is so true for Size 8 who came from a secular musical background when she was discovered by veteran music producer and co-founder of Calif Records, Clemo – real name Clement Rapudo.
Size 8 auditioned locally for Calif and was later signed by the record label where she released Shamba Boy, Silali and Vidonge.
Come April 2013, she confirmed to have crossed over to the gospel music industry, having been born again, and subsequently releasing her first single Mateke. Since then she has released others like Moto, Yuko na Wewe, Jemedari and Afadhali Yesu.
Besides music, Size 8 has also dabbled into acting in shows like legal comedy Mashtaka.
Anyhow, Size 8 was married to Samwel Muraya, commonly known as DJ Mo, a disc jockey, in September 2013.

Together they have a daughter Ladasha Belle Muraya, who was born on 19 November 2015.
The lovely couple doesn’t shy away from showering each other with love and DJ Mo recently threw an elaborate birthday party for the star.
Here is a birthday message he wrote her;
“I have learnt a lot from you, you have been there for me and your love for God really brightens me up – Today as we celebrate your birthday I wanna let you know that you mean a lot to me and there is no exact word that I can use to explain how awesome you are to me – Love you Linet ,though it has not been easy for you to keep up with my craziness you have been a great wife and mum to our wonderful and beautiful Daughter – HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

In the Mateke music video, Size 8 sings about the empty life of being in the secular world.
She says she was always sad and crying was a norm for her. Some of the issues she highlighted included fake, two-faced friends as well as errant and wayward husbands.
But in the midst of all this, she got her redemption and peace from handing over her life to Christ.
As you have all noticed, she also did away with her bright red weaves and goes from more demure colours.

Now, she hosts weekly prayer meetings.
“This side of my life really excites me,” Size 8 revealed, “For I know I am doing this purely for Gods glory and plus what an honor it is to serve the Lord. It’s better than anything else in this world, for souls come to Christ.”
Adding, “My heart goes out to the ones who are in a situation that are so hard and painful. This morning I pray for you and want to tell you there is a God who does miracles. For four months now we have been having the Wednesday prayer meeting at CPF HOUSE and I’ve seen people come and in due time God answers their prayers so never give up on God go to Him in prayer.”
The Afadhali Yesu hitmaker expressed the same sentiment in a Facebook post saying,
“Me, now in Jesus and me, before Jesus. Pale yesu amenitoa ni mbali sana na pale ananipeleka ni mbali zaidi…”
She also posted this photo to best illustrate her point.
