Starehe MP Charles Njagua alias Jaguar was in court today.
The court will rule on a police application to detain him for 14 days as they investigate his alleged inciting remarks against foreign traders.
Detective Jeremiah Ndubai of Nairobi DCI said investigators had established that Njagua was planning to mobilize criminal gangs to invade private property and attack foreign nationals in the city.
“THE INCITING UTTERANCES POSE A GREAT RISK TO THE SECURITY AND THE ECONOMY OF THE COUNTRY AND REGION AND ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE EAST AFRICAN TREATY AND HIS ACTIONS MUST BE FULLY INVESTIGATED,” NDUBAI SAID IN THE AFFIDAVIT.
