BBC reporter Larry Madowo has confessed that much as he has tried to, he can’t fathom the pain Ken Okoth’s widow is going through.
‘When I am down Monica lifts me up. When she is down I lift her up. Ken Okoth told me this a few weeks ago.
He was so proud of her and she has been at his side all along. I can’t imagine her pain and her loss.
His admission comes at a time when Ken Okoth’s family has been stopped by the court from either burrying or cremating him.
This is after after Ann Muthoni sued the family of Ken on grounds she had been excluded from his burial plans yet she is the mother of his son.
During the memorial service held at Moi girls, Okoth’s wife Monicah reminisced on the good times they had in a touching message below.
‘Being Ken’s wife was the greatest honour of my life.
He was the most intelligent, passionate, eloquent and most wonderful person I have ever met.
We have been to so many adventures, so many places together but his heart was always here.
